Steeton Primary School youngsters are giving others the runaround!

A trio of pupils enjoyed success in the latest Keighley schools cross-country event, held at the town’s Cliffe Castle.

The year five/six girls’ race was won by Rosie Guest, while Jack Muir took the boys’ title. “It was extra special for Rosie because it was her first ever victory and it’s a great reward for her hard work and determination,” said Steeton Primary School teacher and running club organiser, John Perry.

“Jack’s victory was his third of the season and continues his unbeaten run of form. Team-mate Alex Thompson pushed him hard to finish a close second.”

All three are now looking to repeat their success in the next race, at Silsden Park next month.
