A drop-in event to discuss future planting and options for a new focal point at Barnoldswick’s Memorial Gardens will take place next week.
Barnoldswick in Bloom is organising a four-day consultation at 12 Frank Street, which starts at 10am on Wednesday and runs until Saturday.
“Work to repair the crumbling walls, steps and paths in the memorial gardens is due to begin in a few weeks time,” said Coun David Whipp. “When this work is complete, Barnoldswick’s Bloom group will be planting out new beds in the gardens. Next week’s event is an opportunity for people to get involved with the scheme.”
He also said the creation of a central plinth as a new focal point for the gardens will be discussed at the consultation.
Work done by the bloom group will also be on display during the event.
