Dinosaurs took over the classroom at Settle Primary School as pupils created creatures fit for Jurassic life.
The children enjoyed a workshop about the environment and earth sciences, learning about dinosaurs and how they adapted and ultimately became extinct.
Estelle Mortimer, a geologist, and teacher Eleanor Bowman have joined forces as Little Blue World, a company offering school sessions focusing on environmental sciences.
They challenged Settle’s class four children to design their own dinosaur making sure it was adapted to life in a Jurassic landscape.
“We thought about mass extinctions, the effects of increasing competition, environmental impact and change both then and now and thought about environmental stresses. It was a fantastic session—all the children really enjoyed it and we had a great time too,” said Estelle.
