Young flautists at Cononley Primary School have hit a high note.
Faith Ramsden, Luby Wilson, Amy Fidler and Ysabel Akroyd won first prize in the small ensemble class at Skipton Music Festival And their rendition of Walking in the Air by Howard Blake won them the Edgar Nicholson Trophy.
Three of the quartet – Faith, Luby and Ysabel – are also celebrating after achieving distinctions in their grade one flute exams with the ABRSM.
A fourth student, Gemma Fidler, passed her grade one piano exam with merit.
All are pupils of Elaine Annable who teaches flute and piano at Cononley school.
