The South Craven Walking For Health group is holding a bazaar at St Peter’s Church Hall, Cross Hills, on Saturday, from 9.30am to 12 midday.
There will be a variety of stalls, including cakes, bric-a-brac, books, garden and vegetable plants, and also an exhibition of the work of the group.
"The bazaar will give us an opportunity to show case to local people the different health walks we offer. Several of our Walk Leaders and walkers will be helping and on hand to talk about what we do for anyone that is interested so we hope a lot of people will come,” said bazaar organiser, Glennis Attwood.
The group is one of more than 600 in the country, is nationally accredited and overseen by the Ramblers and MacMillan Cancer Support. It organises regular 'health walks' specifically aimed at people who need to undertake some physical activity for health reasons. Both short, low gradient walks and longer walks are offered.
