IMPISH SMILE: Phil Helm

First published in News

Wharfedale Rugby Club said a fond farewell to one of its staunchest supporters.

Philip (Phil) Helm died peacefully at home at the age of 40.

He was a vociferous supporter of the Green Machine and also helped behind the scenes at the clubhouse, where a wake was held.

The club said he would be remembered for his impish smile and mischievous giggle.

He was a former pupil of Grassington Primary School, Brooklands School, Skipton, Netherside Hall, Threshfield, Welburn School, Kirkbymoorside and Craven College.

He worked at Skipton’s Stepping Stones Centre.
