Approved flood alleviation plans for Skipton are set to be discussed at a residents meeting in Middletown on Monday.
The Environment Agency, which has said it believes the project will take two years to complete, plans to build two reservoirs – at Skipton Golf Club and off Otley Road – as well as raising and replacing flood walls.
Work to Waller Beck will include raising the flood wall in Ginnel Park, the temporary closure of the Ginnel steps bridge and the re-routing of a footpath.
The agency, which received planning permission for its scheme from Craven District Council earlier this year, has said it hopes to start work on the two-year project in the summer.
The meeting, at the Friends Meeting House, off The Ginnel, will start at 7pm.
