The body of a man, believed to be from Bradford, has been found at Malham Cove in what police are describing as an “unexplained” death.

A walker found the body at around 10am on Friday and officers located his vehicle nearby.

It is believed the victim suffered fatal injuries after a fall at the popular beauty spot.

His body was recovered by the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation CRO teams also checked ledges at the top of the Cove (Caveat Wall) and the left side of Halfway Ledge.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Malham Cove yesterday morning to get in touch on the 101 number.
