Gargrave DJ Luke Pompey has just returned from America where he was filmed for a new TV documentary series.
Campus Crashers follows six young Brits on a three-month road trip across the United States, stopping off at the top ten “party schools” that regularly feature in  lists produced by Playboy magazine and The Princeton Review.
“The entire trip was filmed to document American college life and general American culture to contrast and compare youth attitudes and lifestyle across the pond,” said Luke.
“We visited Syracuse University, Penn State, West Virginia University, Ohio State, University of Georgia, Florida State, University at Tallahassee, Louisiana State, University of Texas, Arizona State and The University of Las Vegas along the way.
“Aside from campus life, we were filmed checking out local hotspots and well-known tourist attractions, visiting the Grand Canyon and set of cult American TV show Breaking Bad en route.”
Luke, 28, first hit the headlines when he got a DJ slot at Ibizan super club Cream Amnesia at just 18, and two years later supported Tiesto when Galaxy FM invited him to play at the Privilege Club.
He has played to crowds in excess of 10,000, alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.
Now based in Leeds, he has set up his own record Label - Love Not Money Records - and, since launching in late 2011, has signed more than 100 local artists.
Luke will be back on home ground this weekend when he plays at a free event at The Venue, Skipton, on Saturday from 10pm.
