Pupils were put through their paces when the Army came to visit a Barnoldswick high school.
Sixteen Prince’s Trust students from West Craven High Technology College took part in variety of activities during an Army In Education Day.
Army officers challenged the Year 10 and Year 11 students to tackle a number of outdoor tasks that focused on developing their leadership skills.
They also experienced physical and mental activities which util- ised  skills that should last a lifetime.
Debbie Gartland, Prince’s Trust club leader, said “The students                had a fantastic day; they worked together as a team developing                   their leadership skills through a series of tasks, both physical and mental.
“The day gave the students an insight into military life.
“The Army officers commented on the success of the day and how well our students worked together.
“They were so impressed with the group that the pupils have been offered a residential stay in the autumn term.”
