Glorious weather put visitors to the steaming day at Barnoldswick's Bancroft Mill in holiday mood.

Among notable visitors was Tom Friars from Gisburn driving his 1914 Crossley 4.5 litre RAFC staff car. In beautiful condition, its owner also has a matching World War One Army lorry and a delivery van, all made in Manchester by Crossley.

The museum hosted members of the Cumbria Classic Motor Cycle Club on their first ever visit to the museum.

Their day's tour was complemented by refreshments at Greenberfield Lockstop, the highest point on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.

The next steaming will be on July 8 when Bancroft hosts the Westfield Sports Car Club. The car builders have very strong connections with Earby and Barnoldswick.
