A FUNDRAISING car wash to raise money for a state of the art skatepark in Skipton's Aireville Park is to be held at the town's fire station on Saturday.
Organised by Skipton Youth Council, it is part of the group's ongoing campaign to raise £25,000 towards the £100,000 needed.
It hopes to receive £50,000 from Sport England, and has already been promised £25,000 from Craven District Council.
Supporters recently raised £734 by running the weekly Saturday cafe at Skipton Town Hall
A spokesman for the Youth Council said: "We are really pleased with how much we raised at our cafe and by how many people showed their support for our campaign. We hope to welcome everybody again this Saturday at our car wash."
