CHARITY fundraising is blooming at Northern Rail.
The company, which operates services on the Airedale line, has raised more than £15,000 for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal.
Fifty “daff trains” travelled the network raising awareness, fundraising days were held at stations and a text donation scheme was set up.
Alex Hynes, for Northern Rail, said: “I would like to thank our employees and customers who have gone over and above to raise thousands of pounds for a very worthwhile cause.
“Marie Curie offers vital assistance to families across our network and we are delighted to have been able to help.”
