POLICE in Craven are appealing for the public’s help to find a woman who has been reported missing from home.

Linda Scaife, aged 54, from Skipton, has not been seen since 10am on Monday 16 June 2014. She was spotted in Keighley having left Airedale General Hospital around an hour earlier.

She was expected to go home in Skipton that afternoon but has not returned.

It is believed that she may have been in the Moorside area of Leeds at around 9.30pm on 16 June 2014, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Officers are appealing to the public to keep an eye out for Linda and report any sightings of her as soon as possible.

Linda is described as white, around 5ft 2in tall, with a medium build, blue eyes, a rosy complexion, and shoulder length blonde hair, which she usually combs back on top and holds in place with a butterfly clip.

When she was last seen, Linda was wearing black trousers, a black coat and black boots and was carrying a black and cream handbag.

Sergeant Trevor Burton, of Skipton police, said: “Linda’s family are understandably anxious about her and I am urging anyone who has seen her or knows where she is to get in touch with the police.

“At the moment, we don’t know what her intentions are or where she has headed but it is possible that she may seek accommodation at hostels in the Leeds area.”

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
