A 42-YEAR-old woman has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of a Craven hotelier.
Debbie Barker, of Hellifield Road, Gargrave, is accused of the unlawful killing of Tom Bannister at Carseylands Hill, Airton, some time between June 20 and June 23 last year.
But Barker, who appeared at Bradford Crown Court on Friday, pleaded guilty to causing the death of Mr Bannister while driving without due care and while over the drink-drive limit and to failing to report an accident.
She is alleged to have been driving a Range Rover at Carseylands Hill on June 22 when she caused the death of Mr Bannister, formerly of The Coniston Hotel.
Barker is accused of having a reading of 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 of breath, 16 microgrammes over the limit of 35.
Granting her bail, Judge Peter Benson set the trial date for October 6.
