BENTHAM Library has revealed its Premier League Reading Stars.
A squad of eight “players” has met at the library every Thursday after school since March – and after months of hard toil, they have finally reached the top of the league, reading more than 100 books between them.
The squad comprises Charlie-Eve Garnett, Daniel Kitchen, Harry Wills, Josh Park-Lea, Morgan Gilmore, Nikita Bedford, Sophie Piper and Travis Taylor.
Their achievements were celebrated at a special Premier League party last Wednesday.
Reading Stars is a scheme put together by the National Literacy Trust
