A FORMER water treatment works in High Bentham is due to be sold to the highest bidder at auction next week.

The building, off Mewith Lane, has planning permission for conversion into living and working and is being sold by Yorkshire Water with a guide price of £150,000.

Tony Webber, of Eddisons, which are handling the sale, said: "The property is close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and enjoys a stunning rural location with unspoilt views over open moorland.

"The fact that planning permission has been granted for conversion can only add to its appeal."

The building is one of several due to come under the hammer at Elland Road, next Thursday, July 10 from 10am. The catalogue can be viewed at eddisons.com/auctions.
