AN AIREDALE Hospital A&E consultant is offering to visit schools in the area to pass on basic first aid skills.
Dr Emma Davies will lead fun, hour-long interactive sessions for pupils and parents at the end of the school day.
The initiative is aimed at primary-age children.
She said two schools had already enquired about the sessions.
"Eastburn Junior & Infant School will hopefully be one of the first to receive the session and we hope the children will learn lots through the fun activities we have planned for them," said Dr Davies.
"We will not be charging for the sessions, however we will have a collection bucket for anyone wishing to make a donation to the Emergency Department Appeal.”
The sessions will include choking, head and minor upper limb injuries and resuscitation.
All the equipment required, including bandages and resuscitation dummies, will be provided.
E-mail Karen.williams@anhst.nhs.uk for further information and to book.
