THE proposed felling of a protected lime tree next to 58 High Street, Skipton has been given the go-ahead.

It will be replaced with a new tree and repairs will be carried out to the setts.

Also approved in Skipton are: three storey extension to 8 Stirtonber; conversion of garage to match conversion of adjoining house, terrace sloping garden and two additional car parking places, 3 Crossley Place; two fascia signs and one projecting or hanging sign at Yorkshire Building Society, Unicorn House, Keighley Road; single storey side extension to form additional sun room at Craven House, Back Midland Street; detached garage and store on land off Back Midland Street; and new gated opening in northern boundary wall to create pedestrian access to yard area at the Fleece Inn, Keighley Road.
