THE efforts of two of the leading officers helping to bring the Tour de France to Craven were recognised by Prime Minister David Cameron.
Sharon Hudson, communications and partnership manager, Craven District Council; and sport development officer, Bruce Dinsmore, were introduced to the Prime Minister when he was in Wetherby last week.
Mrs Hudson had her bag stolen while putting up bunting in Skipton, and also cycled the gruelling hill at Kidstones - classed as a King of the Mountain Climb.
Mr Dinsmore organised the hugely successful Le Petit Grand Depart cycling event, and put together a series of cycle rides around the district.
