Skipton Rotary Club held its annual handover dinner at the Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold.

The presidential chains were handed over by Gordon Jolly to Roland Wohlrapp.

Past president Gordon said the club had donated around £50,000 for its causes this year, and at the same time, he had met his objective of having a fun time. He was also delighted that the club's membership had increased during his term of office.

Incoming president Roland, a town councillor, said he didn’t want to change a lot at the club. ‘"If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!," he said.

Roland wants the club to continue to raise funds for charitable purposes, locally and internationally, and importantly, have fun while doing it.
