YEAR seven and eight students Giggleswick School's Catteral House have been treading the boards with their production of The Sleeping Beaut.

This re-imagining of a classic tale took place last week and saw fairies dressed in neon, a prince requiring rescue and two dustbin men as the unlikely heroes of the day.

"All the cast were fantastic, performing with energy and professionalism, resulting in a fun and enjoyable experience for actors, directors and audience alike" said a school spokesman.

The cast included: King - George Collins; Queen - Jessica Nixon; Des (Dustbin Man) - Joe Ladds; Morgana (Evil Fairy) - Grace Forsyth; Princess Kate - Izzy Turner; Prince - George Ogden.
