CROSS Hills and Glusburn Manorlands Support Group is holding a Yorkshire Day event on Friday, August 1, at 7pm, when retired senior West Yorkshire police officer Terry Slocombe will speak on "The Lighter Side of the Law, Part Two". Tickets cost £8, which includes a meat-and-potato pie and peas supper , and are available by calling 01535 632962. All proceeds will go to Manorlands Hospice, at Oxenhope.
