VIEWS are being sought on Craven's polling stations.

The consultation, being carried out by Craven District Council until the end of July, is open to both registered electors in addition to groups, organisations or councillors.

Comments are also welcome from anyone or organisation with expertise in access for people with disabilities.

In addition to commenting about the suitability of existing polling stations, people are also being asked to suggest new ones. The review will also look at the current polling districts.

Craven's returning officer, Annette Moppett said there had been little change in where voting took place over the years.

"We are very interested to hear from our residents where improvements can be made and whether we should consider alternative locations to the polling stations used in May," she said.

"After all, it is the people who use the polling stations who know best.”

Proposals will be announced next month when there will be further consultation until the end of September.
