CRAVEN College has been recognised for the quality of its courses - and, in particular, its air transport and aviation management courses at The Aviation Academy at Leeds Bradford International Airport.

It was one of seven colleges chosen to represent the 370-strong sector at an event organised by the Association of Colleges at the Houses of Parliament.

The college was represented by curriculumand learning director Rebecca Walker and former student Russell Pink, who studied a foundation degree in aviation before completing a BSc Hons in air transport management.

Russell is now building up his hours for his Pilot’s Licence while working at Heathrow.

He said ‘I am getting nearer to achieving my life’s dream of becoming an airline pilot. Studying at The Aviation Academy was excellent because it is airside at Leeds Bradford Airport, so you really feel that you are part of the industry."
