SWASHBUCKLING young actors at Settle Primary School gave a stunning performance of Pirates of the Curry Bean.
The year six children entertained fellow pupils, parents, governors, friends and family in two performances at the Richard Whiteley Theatre, rounded off with a canapé reception for the older pupils as they prepare to leave primary school.
The show involved the whole of class six, was directed by teacher Laura Thompson and was the culmination of weeks of hard work and rehearsing.
Headteacher Richard Wright said: “Everyone gave fantastic performances and their enjoyment was catching. What a brilliant musical play acted with talent and gusto, well done everyone in year six.
"A particular thank you also goes to Miss Thompson and her team, plus parents Andrew Taylor and Mark Dale who contributed to a number of the props. Pirates of the Curry Bean was a great success.”
