PICNIC Cinema will come to Gisburn Forest on Wednesday.

It will turn the forest into an outdoor cinema venue for an event that is described as part adventure and part fancy dress party.

And there will be the chance to camp out overnight, bringing a boutique festival vibe to proceedings.

The featured film will be 28 Days Later - Danny Boyle's post-apocalyptic horror film where society breaks down following the accidental release of a highly contagious virus.

Guests are invited to don full zombie attire.

Adrian Lochhead, director of Picnic Cinema said: “The whole project is simply designed to give people a good time. I think everyone realises that it’s something special, an opportunity to do something that is really out of the ordinary.”

Tickets are on sale at picniccinema.co.uk and all profits go to a good cause, supporting Remote, which brings cinema equipment free to rural villages in Eden, Cumbria.
