KEEP-FIT enthusiasts have been set a challenge - for every pound of flesh they lose they can gain £2 for Airedale Hospital's emergency department appeal.

The fitness and fundraising deal is on offer until December 1 from the gym at Skipton's Rendezvous Hotel.

The idea is that for every pound in weight a participant loses, they will donate £1 to the hospital, which will be matched with another £1 from the Keighley Road hotel, which is run by husband and wife team Malcolm and Karen Weaving.

Karen said: "We hope, with our support, the incentive of losing weight and earning money for charity will keep a multitude of people working towards their weight loss goals."

Participants in the fundraising scheme do not have to be members of Rendezvous Leisure Club, but they will have full use of the facilities during off-peak times (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm and all day Saturday and Sunday).
