A SKIPTON pet shop and grooming salon is holding a fundraising afternoon to raise money for a hearing dogs charity.

The fundraising event for Hearing Dogs For Deaf People will be held at Dogsbody and Friends, on Victoria Street, on Friday.

The event, which starts at 12.30pm, will give people a chance to meet the hearing dogs and the people they help.

Emma Stead, who runs the shop with her husband Andrew, said: "It's an opportunity for people to see first hand the dogs themselves and the people they help."

A local dog trainer and a dog nutrition expert will be on hand to answer questions on the day.

There will also be a raffle and refreshments will be served.
