A THEATRICAL adventure for all the family will take place in Gisburn Forest tomorrow and Saturday.

The Ballads of the Beasts of Bowland is a joint venture between professional theatre company Blaize Theatre and Spot On, Lancashire’s rural touring network.

It will start with an afternoon rehearsal in Stephen Park, Slaidburn, tomorrow followed by the first public performance at 6pm. There will ] be further public performances at 2pm and 5pm on Saturday.

Tickets for the performances are free but donations are welcome.

Spot On Lancashire director Sue Robinson said: “This is a great fun show for all the family. We believe the forest is awash with beasts!

“The Ballads of the Beasts of Bowland is a promenade show, which involves a short walk from Stephen Park car park into the heart of Gisburn Forest, over gravelled, grass and track terrain for about an hour. Sensible footwear and clothing is recommended and there is no seating."
