POLICE are appealing for information after £90,000-worth of jewellery was stolen from a house in Cross Hills near Skipton.

The burglary took place between 8am and 5.15pm on Wednesday 13 August 2014, at a house on Clayton Hall Road.

The suspects broke into the property through the back door and officers believe they have crossed fields at the rear of the house prior to breaking in.

Some of the stolen jewellery is very distinctive, including a white gold chain with pear shaped emerald pendant, a yellow gold necklace with heart-shaped jade pendant surrounded by diamonds, a yellow gold square-shaped diamond solitaire ring, an Omega watch with a white gold strap and coloured gem stones around the face engraved with “Olympic Edition 2008” and a yellow gold Chinese-style bracelet with jade stones.

Other stolen items include:

• Yellow gold necklace with one diamond solitaire pendant

• Two yellow gold rings, one set with an emerald and smaller diamonds and one set with a square amethyst surrounded by diamonds

• Two white gold rings, one set with a ruby and ten diamonds and a one set with a ruby and three diamonds

• Four eternity rings including one in white gold set with five diamonds, one in white gold set with six diamonds, one in yellow gold set with five diamonds and one in yellow gold set with alternate rubies and diamonds

• Yellow gold diamond stud earrings

• White gold tear-drop diamond earrings

• A second Omega watch in white gold with diamonds set into the face

• A white gold tennis bracelet

• A white gold bangle with diamonds along the top edge

• A white gold bracelet with an emerald in the centre and three diamonds either side

• Two pearl necklaces

Officers are appealing to anyone who may be offered similar items for sale to contact them immediately.

They are also asking anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Clayton Hall Road area during the day time on Wednesday, August 13, to contact them. They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles in the area, including a small dark coloured car to get in touch.
