SKIPTON Market will be up and running throughout the entire Bank Holiday this weekend.
In addition to the usual Friday and Saturday trading days, the market will also be running on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
Traders have been given the extra day on Sunday as part of the cancellation of the market during the Tour de France Grand Depart.
"The operational constraints over the weekend of Le Tour meant that it was not possible to hold the normal market on the first Saturday of July," said chief officer, Dave Parker.
"As this represented the loss of a key trading day in the busy summer period, we consulted with traders as to their preferred option to make up for the loss, and the majority opted for an additional day tagged onto the holiday weekend."
Sunday's market will operate during the normal working hours, the same as on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Drivers are also being warned not to park on the High Street setts overnight on Saturday.
