ADDINGHAM Allotments and Gardens Association's 41st annual show has been hailed a success, with a marked increase of entries compared to recent years.

There were 400 exhibits from adults, including many newcomers, as well as 75 children's entries. The quality was of a very high standard giving the judges a difficult time choosing the winners. In one class, two firsts were awarded.

Addingham Primary School Gardening Club won the cup for the best vegetables.

Trophies were presented by founder member Tom Benstead and gala queen Emily Mayo.
