SKIPTON and District Railway Society is making tracks.
It is moving the date of its annual exhibition to the weekend before August Bank Holiday.
It is usually held over the bank holiday weekend, but next year, it will be held a week earlier on August 22 and 23.
Dave Seymour, acting exhibition manager, said: "We feel that we may do better if it is brought forward as a lot of people tend to go away for the bank holiday."
This year's exhibition - held at Skipton's Aireville School - has been hailed a success, with a slight increase in visitor numbers.
"It went very well and all the layouts were of good quality," said Mr Seymour.
Visitors voted for their favourite layout and the trophy went to Chestnut Road - a fictitious location set in the present day and based around the Midlands.
The exhibition also included demonstrations and a second-hand stall.
