A KEIGHLEY district tennis club has proudly re-launched its newly refurbished premises.
Cross Hills Tennis Club now boasts a new, modern club house, as well as three resurfaced hard courts. The project was made possible by £48,500 of Sports England funding, along with a generous payment from the trustees of Keighley Tennis Club from when that organisation closed down.
Glenn Frost, the chairman of the Cross Hills club said: “I would like to thank all involved, from the funders through to the contractors, especially Cobbydale Construction of Silsden.
"The new facilities will provide a valuable sporting asset for the growth of tennis in the Keighley and Craven areas for years to come."
Officiating at the opening, Keighley MP Kris Hopkins MP said: “Tennis is an extremely inclusive sport reaching out across the community irrespective of age, ethnicity or gender.
"What we have here will prove an invaluable sports and recreational resource for the ordinary people of Keighley and Craven."
People can call Edie Dexter on 01535 632763 for information on joining the club.
