PETER Donnelly, curator of the King's Own Royal Regiment Museum, Lancaster, will give talk at Ingleton Library on how the first few months of the First World War impacted on the local area and the King's Own Regiment.
Mr Donnelly will also talk about Ingleton’s links with the King’s Own, including Lt. Richard Leslie Brown who lived at Storrs Hall and Lt. Gerald Kirk, who held many prominent positions in the village – he even captained Ingleton Football Club.
Refreshments will be served following the talk which takes place on Wednesday, September 24 at 7pm
The event is part of the Heritage Lottery funded Craven and the First World War commemoration project.
