SETTLE'S Victoria Hall will offer two very different treats this weekend.
Tomorrow, music maestros Trio Gitan will take theatregoers on a European journey through songs, music and stories.
The programme includes everything from classical music to Klezmer, poignant Russian songs to Parisian swing and new compositions to Celtic fiddling.
Doors open at 7.15pm for the concert at 8pm.
The following night, cult theatre company and comedy duo LipService return to the hall with its Hysterical Historical Show – a whacky whirlwind tour of Britain’s female national treasures.
Meet notorious gossip Mrs Gaskell and her timid friend Charlotte Bronte, learn about Marie Stopes and her little known friendship with Scott of the Antarctic or stage a protest with the ever radical Pankhursts.
Part sketch show, part pub quiz, the show has all the ingredients for a fun night out.
Doors open at 6.45pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
