SKIPTON Academy pupil Martha McAdam decided to set herself the challenge of completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks in a day, with the aim of raising money for the MS Society.
Fourteen-year-old Martha dragged along her dad and her dog, Obi.
Martha had to really push herself and she very nearly gave up before attempting the final hill, Ingleborough. However, after a glass of apple juice in Chapel-le-Dale, she set off again.
After struggling to the top of Ingleborough she found her second wind, ran the last two miles and was delighted to finish in 12 hours and one minute, beating her dad by quarter of an hour.
Martha has set up a JustGiving page and if anyone would like to help her reach her fund raising target of £250 please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/Martha3Peaks/
