WITH public funds in short supply in recent years, major spending on new schools has become a rarity.

Small wonder, then, that the new Barnoldswick C of E Primary School, built for £3.38 million as part of plans from Lancashire County Council to ensure educational demand is met, has been described as 'amazing', as these pictures by Craven Herald photographer Stephen Garnett illustrate.

As the we reported last week, pupils have already explored the new building and they and staff are making good use of the new space.
