THE weather was kind for the annual Boyle and Petyt Show at Beamsley.

Most of the events were held outside, including a bouncy castle and throwing wet sponges at volunteers.

The pet show had a variety of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits and a sheep, teas were served and cakes, produce, vegetables and fruit were displayed in the hall with classes for both children and adults.

There was also a wonderful array or art work was produced by the Boyle and Petyt children.

Winners were: most points in show, adults - Tina Butler; juniors - Sam Greenwood; best exhibit in show, adults, and best miscellaneous exhibit - Barbara Roberts; best exhibit, children -Ruby Gray; best flower and best vegetable - Paula Newton; best kitchen produce - Ian Roberts; best children’s exhibit, juniors - Ruby Gray; infants - Mackenzie Golding; best in-school exhibit, junior - Grace Reynoldson; infants - Lucy Ebel; pre-school - Alfie Millar; dog show winner - Bella the Dog; pet show winner - Tess the Rabbit; special award in pet show - Snowball the Sheep; 2014 programme cover winner, junior - Katherine Quinlan; infant - Lucy Oxley.
