A NEW version of Jules Verne's classic tale Around the World in 80 Days will be staged in Barnoldswick tomorrow.

Chipping Norton Theatre and Oxfordshire Theatre Company will present the production in the Rainhall Centre at 7pm.

Jules Verne’s classic tale of great adventure follows the dashing Victorian explorer Phileas Fogg as he embarks on an epic expedition to navigate the globe in record time. Little does he know that hot on his heels is Scotland Yard's finest - the unstoppable Fix of the Yard.

This fast-moving story, an unforgettable journey for all ages, will be performed by Gareth Cassidy, Richard Hurst and Anna Tolputt, who play more than 20 characters in a production which incorporates madcap comedy mayhem.

This new version is written by Toby Hulse and directed by John Terry.
