A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl is recovering after being bitten on the face by a black Springer spaniel.
Police say the incident occurred in Skipton's Cancer Research shop at 3.40pm on Saturday.
The youngster suffered a cut to the cheek and lip.
PC Adam Steventon said: "The female owner of the dog didn’t leave her details before leaving the scene and is asked to come forward to the police so the full details of the incident can be ascertained. She also had a white Highland terrier with her.
"Other witnesses are also urged to make themselves known."
PC Steventon can be contacted at Skipton Police Station using the non-emergency number 101.
