PENDLE Council’s dog warden team has won its sixth successive RSPCA Gold Footprint award.
The national award recognises organisations that have gone above and beyond their basic service requirements to provide higher standards of care for dogs they collect as part of their daily work.
The award also recognises dog warden teams who run quality educational programmes in their local areas.
David Alexander, who oversees the work of the dog wardens, said: “It’s a top priority for us to ensure that stray dogs in Pendle are cared for well while they are our responsibility.
“We also strive to promote responsible dog ownership and the RSPCA has highlighted this area of our work in their award of the Gold Footprints for the sixth successive year.”
