A PARTY of Dutch students spent a week in Skipton polishing up their English speaking skills with A-level students at Craven College.

The 20 students from Starling College, Lochem, are all studying the equivalent of A-levels in Holland and were on a week's educational visit.

As part of their visit, they attended classes and had lunch in The Cafe, at the Aireville campus.

Each year around 200 students take part in International week, visiting different parts of the UK. The Starling College group also spent time hiking and camping in the Dales.

Mr Schut, their English teacher said: "I thought it would be nice this year to come to UK and go hiking and do other activities whilst we are in the UK and Yorkshire seemed like an ideal place.

"The aim of the trip is to increase the knowledge of our students about language, education, other countries and to meet people and learn about our social responsibilities.”
