THE detective skills of Sherlock Holmes will be in demand in Ingleton over the next few days.
For more than 20 mysterious guys are set to appear around the village in the run-up to Bonfire Night.
But the guys will be disguised as the famous detective.
The Sherlock Holmes-themed guy trail will be launched on Saturday and will culminate with the village's fireworks display at Holme Head next Saturday, November 8, at 8pm.
Trail sheets will be available from the Tourist Information Centre.
The trail is one of a number of events that the village plans to hold to celebrate its links with the detective's creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who married his first wife, Louisa Hawkins, in nearby Thornton-in-Lonsdale in August, 1885.
