SEVENTY guests hit the high notes to help celebrate the 80th birthday of Issy Carr in a special karaoke party at Bentham Golf Club.
And the North-West Air Ambulance benefited to the tune of £710 from donations given to Issy instead of presents.
And Issy, owner of Bentham's Lowther Hill Caravan Park, got the evening off to a 'Sinatra start' with her rendition of the crooner's smash-hit My Way.
She said: "There was a super buffet and Barwise in Bentham presented me with a lovely birthday cake, and I also got 124 birthday cards. I also sang Stand By Your Man and Unchained Melody. It was an absolutely smashing evening and I had a fantastic time."
Issy said she had decided to help the air ambulance because it helped to save lives - "every one of us just might need it some day."
