A 78-YEAR-OLD man collapsed and died on Middlesmoor Pasture, Kettlewell, around lunchtime on Thursday.
Police, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and 14 members of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association rushed to the scene, but were unable to save the man, who has not been named.
He was pronounced dead by an air ambulance paramedic.
