THIRTEEN members of Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association helped to rescue a 70-year-old in the Ripon area in the early hours of Monday.
The pensioner - who had been reported missing - was found down a steep bank next to the River Ure by a swift water rescue team from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The Grassington rescuers deployed a stretcher party and carried the casualty up the bank and to a waiting ambulance.
