AWARD-WINNING guitarist Christian Saggese will give a concert at Skipton's Holy Trinity Church on Saturday.

Mr Saggese, winner of competitions in Spain and Italy, plays both the classical and electric guitar as well as a 14-string harpguitar and mandolin.

Spanish newspaper El Pais described him as one of the best European guitarists of today.

And, for the Skipton concert, Mr Saggese will play a guitar by local luthier Brett Barrett, who is hosting the event which starts at 8pm.
