A DELAYED train to London couldn't stop a team from Ermysted's Grammar School in Skipton getting right back on track for success in an international reading competition.
Four pupils from the school dominated the regional round of the Kid's Lit Quiz' to become Yorkshire champions, which earned them a place in the British final of the competition at Wimbledon College in south London.
Their delayed - and diverted - journey meant they missed the first of the six rounds but the contestants - Matthew Joynson, Laurie Petrucci, Daniel Coghill and Thomas Shaw - still came an impressive second.
The quartet also met famous author Anthony Horowitz - and congratulated the winners, Litcham School, in Norfolk, who will go on to represent Britain in the international final in the USA.
